KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members Rabitta Committee and lawmakers staged protest demonstration and sit-in outside Karachi Press Club to express solidarity with the families of missing and detained party workers.
Speaking to Geo News on the occasion, Rabitta Committee Deputy Convener Kanwar Naveed Jameed said, “our party activists are detained and forced to join establishment party.” They are also threatened from unknown cell numbers.
Rauf Siddiqui said over 70 MQM workers were missing, adding that if miscreants are present in the ranks of MQM, they should be nabbed and presented before the court.
The protesters were carrying banners and photos of the missing party workers.
