Opposition against Pananma Leaks probe: Pervaiz Rashid
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information, Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said it appears that the opposition does not want Panama Leaks probed.
“The opposition is well aware of the fact that the Prime Minister’s family did not commit any unlawful act. And in case an inquiry gets conducted, the stains from the mud-slinging would be washed,” the Information Minister said while addressing a press conference here.
He said the opposition wants the politics of accusation to continue by not letting the inquiry get underway.
Pervaiz Rashid said the Chairman Senate himself refused to lead the inquiry into the Panama Leaks.
He said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan did meet while onboard a plane to London.
“Chaudhry Nisar took a pledge from Imran Khan for not taking undue advantage of the permission for holding a rally in Islamabad,” he said, adding, ‘PTI will not enter the Red Zone’.
