Gen. Raheel satisfied over success, pace of Karachi operation
RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday visited Corps Headquarters Karachi, where he chaired a security meeting.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief was briefed in detail regarding ongoing Karachi operation including intelligence based operations.
While expressing his satisfaction over success and pace of operation, General Raheel lauded Rangers, Intelligence and other law enforcement agencies for their phenomenal achievements and sacrifices in improving security environment in Karachi.
COAS also appreciated the people of Karachi for their unflinching support for the security forces.
He said, “Economic progress and economic activity is directly linked with peace in Karachi hence a terror free and peaceful Karachi is the ultimate aim of this operation and all efforts must be directed with a focused approach to achieve this objective.”
Corps Commander, DG ISI, DG MO, DG MI, DG Rangers were present.
Earlier in the morning, the Army Chief addressed the faculty, participants and allied officers of Air War Course.
