KARACHI: Sindh Rangers have asked Pakistan People’s Party leader Qadir Patel to visit the paramilitary’s Headquarters on Thursday (tomorrow).
Sources said Rangers have summoned Patel to question over his relation to the land mafia, Lyari gangs and other crimes.
Rangers suspect him of assisting criminals based on information gathered during interrogation of banned Aman Committee chief Uzair Baloch and Dr Asim Hussain.
Meanwhile Qadir Baloch denied the charges leveled against him for assisting terrorists as he appeared at an Anti-terror Court. “I have never called Dr Asim Hussain in my life. Statements procured from Dr Asim have no legal standing,” he said as he pleaded not guilty in the court.
Meanwhile, the ATC accepted 7-day pre-arrest bail of Patel, nominated in Dr Asim case.
