Four Qaeda sub-continent terrorists arrested in Karachi
KARACHI: Karachi police claimed to have nabbed four Al-Qaeda sub-continent terrorists after a shootout within the limits of Preedy police.
According to details, the four terrorists opened fire at a police mobile near Jehnagir Park. Police chased and arrested them after shootout.
Police claimed the arrested terrorists are affiliated with Al-Qaeda sub-continent. Weapons including four SMGs and a motor cycle were recovered from them.
SHO Preedy police station Kamal Naseem said that all four terrorists are educated and residents of Karachi.
Meanwhile, security agencies conducted raids at Shah Faisal No 3. and No 5. last night and arrested seven workers of a political party.
Rangers conducted a search operation at a furniture market in Liaquatabad and recovered Russian weapons buried underground.
The search operation was conducted after a tip off from an under custody worker of a political party, a statement released by Rangers said.
Among the weapons seized there were seven machine guns, which the paramilitary suspects would be used to spread terror in Karachi.
