ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah on Tuesday said whether the companies mentioned in Panama Papers are ‘offshore or inshore’ a probe must be conducted to get to the bottom of it.
Speaking to media persons here, Khursheed Shah expressed ignorance about offshore companies, saying he has no idea what these offshore companies are. “Whether these are offshore or inshore companies, a probe must be conducted,” he added.
“This is not to say that just because names of Nawaz Sharif’s family have come up in Panama Papers, they be apprehended,” he explained.
However, he added that a probe must be set in motion to ascertain as to how and where exactly the money came from to buy these offshore companies.
