Imran for judicial commission to probe Kamal’s allegations

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said he was the first Pakistan who said MQM chief Altaf Hussain is the biggest terrorist.

Addressing a press conference , he called for formation of a judicial commission to investigate the allegations made by former mayor of Karachi. He said Mustafa Kamal was a credible face of MQM and worked for Karachi and became a direct threat to Altaf Hussain.

“Seven years ago I said Altaf Hussain is a terrorist, he spoke against Pakistan’s creation,” said the PTI chairman when asked to comment on Mustafa Kamal’s defection.

“When I went to India in 2003, there were posters of Altaf Hussain all over. An Indian journalist told me RAW placed the posters of Altaf Hussain. "no party in India could survive if accused of being funded by ISI"” he said.

Imran Khan said :“ MQM has nearly 234 cases registered against them. When I took those cases to Scotland Yard, they said they can only come in if the Pakistani government calls them in to investigate”.  But, he said, the governments of PPP and PML-N didn’t pursue the cases because they were in collusion.

He said as to why a political party accused of having links with foreign country sending its activists for training was not being investigated by the government.

Turning his guns to Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, Imran Khan said the younger Sharif was threatening the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).  “They are scared of NAB. I condemn Shahbaz Sharif’s threats to NAB”.

Calling for an investigation into what he said camp offices of Punjab Chief Minister, the former cricket hero said: “They are making millions off  mega projects, this has to be investigated. In the name of camp offices they eat up government funds”.

“‘This is the age of social media; they all stand exposed at the click of a button. How can they threaten NAB,” he said.  Commenting on Pakistan's cricket team poor performance in Asia Cup he said the monarchy style politics, cronyism has ruined the country and "an example of this is in our cricket, there is no merit at all".

"The level of talent that Pakistan has is not reflected in our team," The PTI chairman said.
