KARACHI: Sindh Information and Education Minister Nisar Khuhro on Wednesday said the protesting teachers did not get themselves registered with the bio-metric attendance system therefore their salaries were stopped.

He said the provincial government will accept all lawful demands made by the teachers, but first they must register themselves with the bio-metric attendance system.

Nisar Khuhro said the government does not believe in torturing the teachers.

However, he urged the protesting teachers to abide by the laws, terming it inappropriate to enter the red zone.

"Dialogue is the only solution to the problems and the government will accept the legitimate demands of the teachers", he added.

The senior minister issued directives to release all the teachers who were detained during the protest.
