RAWALPINDI: Police are investigating as to what led to the death of Tehmina who fell from the third floor of a residential apartment building in Rawat and died.
Police have arrested Umair over charges of forcing Tehmina to marry him.
Tehmina, a resident of Chakwal, and Umair from Vihari were preparing for CSS examination and were reported to have fallen in love on social media site Facebook.
Umair says he and Tehmina had tied the knot but the girl’s parents deny his claim.
It is being investigated whether the girl was raped before she was murdered.
Police suspects that Umair wanted to marry Tehmina and he might have pushed Tehmina off the third floor of the apartment.
Post mortem of the deceased girl has been carried out and the report in this regard is yet to come.
