COAS, PAF chief visit wounded soldiers in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshall Sohail Aman arrived in Peshawar following the terrorist attack on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp in Badaber and visited injured soldiers at the Combined Military Hospital.

DG Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa tweeted that the COAS and PAF chief met with all injured soldiers from the Army and the PAF.

The injured soldiers were in high morale and spirits, said the military spokesman.




The Army and PAF chiefs also visited the camp and met PAF, Army, police personnel who defeated the attackers and killed all the terrorists, the DG ISPR said.

Earlier, the COAS and PAF chief met with Corp Commander Peshawar and were briefed on the situation.

The attackers gunned down 15 worshippers while they were offering prayers at a nearby mosque. 13 terrorists were killed as security forces repulsed the attackers.
