In August 2014 video of Mashood surfaced in which he was allegedly involved in corrupt activities. He has also been accused of financial irregularities in the Punjab Youth Festival.
NAB had started collecting evidence into the video scandal and decided to launch a formal inquiry after proof pertaining to the case was found.
