PPP announces Rs 150 billion development package for Karachi

KARACHI: To improve the state of the metropolis, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced a Rs. 150 billion package which covers all important sectors.

The package includes improvement of storm drains, upgrading the state of the streets, bridges, emergency services, the fire department, the water board, transport facilities as well as recreational facilities in the city.

KARACHI: To improve the state of the metropolis, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced a Rs. 150 billion package which covers all important sectors.

The package includes improvement of storm drains, upgrading the state of the streets, bridges, emergency services, the fire department, the water board, transport facilities as well as recreational facilities in the city.

PPP Senator Saeed Ghani told Geo News, that all important sectors have been included. He stressed that the package is not to influence the local body elections which are to be held in December but rather for the benefit of the citizens of Karachi. He added, that none of the projects announced will be inaugurated before December and that the projects announced in the package will be completed by 2018.

Ghani admitted that even after the completion of all projects, Karachi’s problems will not have been completely eradicated.
