Petition for lifting ban on YouTube submitted in SC
LAHORE: Watan Party leader Barrister Zafarullah Khan on Monday submitted a petition in Supreme Court's Lahore registry, seeking an end to the ongoing ban on world’s biggest video streaming site YouTube.
The petitioner said the people have no other avenue available for obtaining international knowledge, therefore, the ban on YouTube be lifted in Pakistan.
YouTube continues to remain blocked since September 17,

LAHORE: Watan Party leader Barrister Zafarullah Khan on Monday submitted a petition in Supreme Court's Lahore registry, seeking an end to the ongoing ban on world’s biggest video streaming site YouTube.
The petitioner said the people have no other avenue available for obtaining international knowledge, therefore, the ban on YouTube be lifted in Pakistan.
YouTube continues to remain blocked since September 17, 2012 after a blasphemous clip was made available on the internet.
The movie clip had sparked violent protests in Pakistan as well as in many other parts of the world.
