KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Friday said his party is not against the operation being carried out by law enforcement agencies in the city but it should be impartial and directed towards criminals and terrorist.

Speaking at a protest demonstration against banning MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s speeches outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC), he said the party did not react over attack on Rashid Godil.

“Carry out operation and avoid separation,” said the MQM’s parliamentary leader in the National Assembly, whose resignation along with all MNAs of his party has created a political crisis in the country.

“Promoters of minus-Altaf formula have themselves been minused by our resignations.”

Lashing out at the government, Dr Sattar said that ‘ungrateful rulers’ have announced rewards for catching ‘dengue mosquito’ at one hand and on another masses were being targeted in terrorism.

Other MQM leaders also delivered speeches on the occasion and chanted slogans in favour of Altaf Hussain.
