At least 30 suspected militants have been killed in a drone strike and clashes between security forces and insurgents in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Nangarhar, local media reported on Sunday.
According to reports, the drone strike was carried out in Gorgori area of Nangarhar’s Haska Mina district killing 10 suspected militants.
Afghan media also quoted a military statement saying 15 insurgents were killed in an ongoing operation in Shirzad, Hisarak and Khogyani districts.
Five other militants were also killed the same day by a special unit in Ghanikhil District, local media quoted a press release as saying.
