AJK PM sacks two MQM ministers over Altaf Hussain’s speech

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Kashmir government has sacked two cabinet ministers belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) over a recent contentious speech made by MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

Ministers Tahir Khokar and Saleem Buttt were removed on the orders of AJK Prime Minister under Section 14 of provisional Constitution.

Prime Minister Abul Majeed had given 72-hour ultimatum to the ministers to disassociate

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Kashmir government has sacked two cabinet ministers belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) over a recent contentious speech made by MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

Ministers Tahir Khokar and Saleem Buttt were removed on the orders of AJK Prime Minister under Section 14 of provisional Constitution.

Prime Minister Abul Majeed had given 72-hour ultimatum to the ministers to disassociate themselves from MQM chief Altaf Husssain.

The prime minister has announced protest demonstrations against the MQM chief on August 6. The minister had rejected prime ministers ultimatum.
