High Commissioner in Pakistan to meet Geeta today: Indian FM
NEW DEHLI: Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan Dr TCA Raghavan is reaching Karachi to meet Geeta, an Indian woman stranded in Pakistan for the last 15 years, the Indian foreign minister said Tuesday.
In a message posted on social networking website Twitter, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said that the High Commissioner will meet the woman today.

NEW DEHLI: Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan Dr TCA Raghavan is reaching Karachi to meet Geeta, an Indian woman stranded in Pakistan for the last 15 years, the Indian foreign minister said Tuesday.
In a message posted on social networking website Twitter, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said that the High Commissioner will meet the woman today.
On Monday, in response to a tweet by Pakistani human rights activist Ansar Burney regarding search for the family of the missing Indian girl, Swaraj said: “I have asked Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr TCA Raghavan to go to Karachi with Mrs Raghavan and meet this girl.”
Geo News was instrumental in highlighting the story of Geeta, who is hearing and speech impaired, during the Ramazan transmission of Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain on July 25.
Geeta currently lives in Karachi with Bilqees Edhi, the wife of internationally renowned social worker and philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi.
