LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda met with officers from the Scotland Yard here on Monday.

The meeting which lasted for over two hours was also attended by officers of the counter terrorism command unit. This is the same unit which is investigating Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) related cases.

The PTI leader said he handed over evidence to the police which showed the involvement of MQM in money laundering. According to Vawda the evidence contained MQM statements which showed large amounts of money being sent to London.

“Every regulation in the book was broken by MQM. UK and Pakistan's economy was damaged.”

Vawda said he was thankful to the officers who listened and promised to look into the provided evidence.

He added that a request will also be made to revoke the British citizenship of Altaf.
