ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) on Thursday emphasised willingness to take necessary steps for improving relations with India but cautioned its South Asian neighbour to refrain from making accusations without evidence.

“Pakistan had condemned the Gurdaspur attack. India should not level accusations without an investigation,” FO spokesman Qazi Khalilullah told reporters during the weekly news briefing.

The spokesman did not comment on the death of Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Omar but did say Pakistan was investigating reports of his death.

Qazi Khalilullah added Pakistan remained committed to supporting and facilitating the Afghan led and owned reconciliation process.
