HYDERABAD: With flood waters heading towards Sindh which is already struggling to cope after heavy rainfall; TeamGeo is present on ground to keep our audience informed with regular updates.

Glimpses will give you an insight into what the reporters come across, when the camera is not rolling.

As the first batch of images sent by TeamGeo member Qaseem Saeed were on download, the question he was asked was to name the village he was in. His response, “This isn’t a village, this is Hyderabad.”

The following images are of Meher Ali located towards the South of Hyderabad, where three days of rain has caused urban flooding. No suction pumps or other machinery has been deployed in the area by the administration forcing residents to fend for themselves.

With no options available, many of the 10,000 residents that inhabiting the 1,000 affected houses, have climbed up onto their roof tops, writes Qaseem.

Since many areas are under several feet of water people are forced to use makeshift rafts they have built using wooden planks, Styrofoam and anything that will float.

Note: These images for 'Glimpses' have been taken using a smartphone camera by our reporter in the field and are curated by the Editor Multimedia in Karachi.
