ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presented the agreement between the federal government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the Judicial Commission (JC) report in the National Assembly on Monday.
Dar said that the PTI was not abiding to its agreement as according to the written contract, it is stated that if the elections are found to be transparent and fair, then the PTI will take back all its allegations of rigging.
The minister went on to say that the Inquiry Commission was created in consensus with all political parties including the PTI.
He further said, “If the verdict of the JC turned out to be against the PML-N then we will conduct re-elections.”
The finance minister also added that the PTI had endorsed the agreement regarding the Inquiry Commission.

PTI Leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi responded to Dar in the National Assembly today and said that to believe the report is extraordinary, however, the Assembly has been considered legitimate.
He went on to say that, “Instead of being on the streets today, we are in the Assembly, so it’s a step forward which should be recognised.
Qureshi further said that the PTI desires to strengthen democracy and its leadership was determined to not adopt any unconstitutional manner.
The PTI leader added that, “Now we all should learn from our mistakes and move forward.”
He also said that 21 political parties alleged rigging during the elections and PTI tried its best to take the allegations to a logical conclusion, adding that the matter was taken up at every forum and eventually PTI was forced to protest.
Earlier reports had indicated that the PML-N government would likely present the judicial commission report in Parliament today, which rejected claims by the PTI that the 2013 general elections were rigged.
The three-judge commission released its final report last week, saying the polls were largely fair and in accordance with the law.
Prior to the NA session, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the country's political situation and the agenda for the session.
Sources said the government's strategy following the judicial commission's inquiry report was also discussed during the meeting.
