ISLAMABAD: Pakistan lodged strong protest with India over ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC).

The Foreign Office condemned unproved Indian firing at LoC and termed the aggression by Indian troops violation of Ufa accord.

The FO said, “Aggression by Indian troops over the past few days is condemnable. Pakistan is concerned over continue ceasefire violation by India.”

It further said Indian forces violated ceasefire in Rawalakot, Poonch sector and continued firing from 1.30PM to 6:00PM along LoC on Saturday. Indian troops used small arms, rockets, mortar shell and heavy machine guns.

Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC), in yet another violation of ceasefire agreement between the two countries on Saturday.

According to reports, the firing from Indian troops began at Nezapir Sector after a gap of two days, drawing a befitting response from the Pakistani side.

Director General, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa said in a statement today that India always resorts to such violations on every festive occasion in Pakistan.
