LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief, Altaf Hussain on Friday said an undeclared martial law has been put in place across Sindh.

In a statement issued from London, the MQM Chief alleged that the incumbent government of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Sindh sacked officials who had committed corruption of billions of rupees.

“But these corrupt officials have not yet disclosed the names to whom they handed over the billions of rupees minted through unscrupulous practices,” he added.

He said the bigwigs who were sacked by the provincial government are the ones appointed by PPP itself.

He claimed that most of these ‘corrupt officials’ have already fled from the country.

Altaf Hussain said PPP in order to form its governments had always enticed ‘Muhajirs’ and MQM by false promises. “And today the same PPP representatives were singing celebratory songs over the actions being taken against MQM,” he regretted.
