PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Mineral Development, Ziaullah Afridi was sent on 13-day physical remand in custody of the Ehtesab Commission on Friday.
Talking to the media after his hearing today, Afridi hurled a barrage of accusations on KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
Afridi was arrested amongst others on Thursday on charges of corruption by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and KP Ehtesab Commission.
Afridi, a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was arrested for misusing his authority for personal purposes.
PTI leader Naeem -ul-Haq said that the decision after transparent investigation will be accepted.
Meanwhile, investigations yesterday revealed embezzlement of billions of rupees by the Mines and Minerals Department of KP.
Following the disclosure, former minister Nawabzada Mehmood Zeb and Bannu Commissioner Asmatullah Khan, along with other officials were taken into custody.
