ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate, Mian Raza Rabbani on Monday ruled that the parliament cannot permit enforcement of a law that does not exist.
The Senate Chairman ruled, that the draft for the local bodies elections was under review adding that while it had recommendations it was not a law. Rabbani further remarked that as Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan it was his responsibility to make sure the constitution and the parliament were obeyed.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court of Pakistan demanded that it be informed on Tuesday (tomorrow) regarding when the bill would be passed.
