QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said on Tuesday that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) should be labeled a terrorist organisation and banned.
Addressing a press conference in Quetta today, Bugti said he always used to say that RAW is involved in the deterioration of law and order in the province, adding that the BBC documentary on MQM has verified his claims.
Bugti went on to say that evidence of RAW’s involvement in Karachi has also come to light.
Speaking regarding security forces operations in the province, the Balochistan Home Minister said that Qilla Abdullah, Dera Murad Jamali, Bhag, Khanozai Pishin are the areas where recent successful operations have been carried out.
He further said that a huge quantity of arms and ammunition was seized during the operations, adding that three terrorists were also apprehended.
Bugti gave assurances that under all circumstances will the people of the province and their property be protected.
He added that terrorism in Balochistan will be wiped out from its roots.
He also commended the performance of police, FC and other institutions to maintain law and order.
