Characters of BBC report on MQM present in UK: Shahid Hayat

KARACHI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director Sindh Shahid Hayat on Saturday said all the characters of BBC report against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were present in UK.

He said the government of Pakistan has sought help from the British government through a letter. The FIA officers said action would be taken in Pakistan after receiving evidence from UK.

KARACHI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director Sindh Shahid Hayat on Saturday said all the characters of BBC report against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were present in UK.

He said the government of Pakistan has sought help from the British government through a letter. The FIA officers said action would be taken in Pakistan after receiving evidence from UK.

Speaking to media on Saturday, he said the Axact case has not come to an end yet as supplementary challan has been produced in the court.

He said action in Axact case was carried out in accordance with the law. Hayat said corruption of billions of rupees was found in KMC’s education department where millions are paid in salaries to ghost employees.

Shahid Hayat said an officer of the KMC education department was arrested by the FIA, who had got 21 employees recruited from his own family.
