PESHAWAR: Doctors and nurses at the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar continue their protest for the second consecutive day, leaving majority of the patients in limbo.

In light of the difficulties faced by patients their relatives have also started protesting against the doctors and nurses.

The protesting doctors and nurses are demanding security for themselves after a doctor was beaten by relatives of an accident victim who did not survive.

The incident occurred on Thursday when an accident victim was brought in to the hospital; doctors tried their best but were unable to revive the patient.

Doctors have demanded security and registration of a case of attempted murder against those who attacked their colleague.

Meanwhile, the doctors and nurses are attending to those brought in to the hospital’s emergency department; however patients in other wards are suffering, due to which their relatives have now started to protest against the doctors.
