KARACHI: British Journalist Owen Bannett Jones on Thursday said he stood by his BBC report that claimed the Muttahida Qaumi Movement was receiving Indian funding.

In an exclusive interview with Geo News, he said his report was correct, as it was based on facts but he had no idea as to what would exactly be the situation in a court of law if the story was presented in a trial.

When asked as to why he always worked on MQM-related stories, the British journalist said though he couldn't tell exactly how many of his stories covered the party, he was sure they were not more than ten percent of his total journalistic work.

Replying to a question about authenticity and reliability of his sources, Bennett Jones said he wouldn’t have filed the story, had he not trusted them.
