PM says load shedding at Sehri and Iftar unacceptable

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif issued instructions on Saturday to address load shedding during Sehar and Iftar times on a war-footing, adding that load shedding during these hours is not acceptable.

Secretary Water and Power, Younus Daga met the prime minister and briefed him on the load shedding being conducted during Sehri and Iftar times. The secretary informed the prime minister that demand has also increased due to rising temperatures.

The secretary informed the prime minister that in order to control the situation, demand will have to be curtailed. At present the supply fluctuates between 13-15000MW, the secretary added.
