Foreign embassies have been tapping phones in Pakistan: Malik

ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik revealed on Friday that there are two embassies in Pakistan which have been involved in phone tapping.

Malik revealed this during the meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Interior. The former interior minister said cabinet meetings were also bugged during the tenure of the PPP government. He added that once monitoring was so intense that the cabinet meeting had to be postponed.

According to Rehman Malik, along with his phones those of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari were also tapped.
