GUJRANWALA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Rana Shamshad and his son were killed here on Sunday.
The incident took place when the MPA’s vehicle was fired upon by gunmen as he was traveling to a farmhouse.
Rana Shamshad and his son were killed on the spot while a nephew of the MPA was severely injured and rushed to a local hospital and later to Lahore.
The gunmen fled after the attack and police have launched an investigation.
Rana Shamshad had been elected to the provincial assembly from PP-100 (Gujranwala).
