MIANWALI: Dubbing local bodies election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a real change and revolution, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said the funds would now flow to lower level.

Talking to media during his visit to Namal University in Mianwali, Khan said the provincial government of KPK would immediately act if it received any complaint regarding rigging in the polls.

He said Pakistan People’s Party and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s unwillingness to hold the polls in Sindh and Punjab reflects their intention to concentrate powers in their own hands.

Commenting on Pakkstan-China Economic Corridor, the PTI chief said the project was not a charity for Pakistan instead Beijing intended to develop its backward areas.

“The government of Pakistan should also take advantage of that golden opportunity to develop areas like Mianwali and Dera Ismail Khan,” he added.

Reham Khan, wife of the PTI chairman, was also accompanying him during the visit that they undertook on a helicopter.
