LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain called for declaring the Local Government polls held today in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as null and void.

According to a statement issued here, Altaf demanded of the authorities to re-organize Local Government polls under the surveillance of impartial observers in the province.

“Political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Awami National Party (ANP) had, under collusion, barred the women from casting votes in various areas of the province”, he said.

He said the violent incidents during today’s polling in the province have tainted the Local Government polls.
