PESHAWAR: Most of the incidents of rigging were witnessed at the women polling stations during Local Government polls in Peshawar.

According to reports, more than 30 people including women were injured in firing and violent incidents in the Peshawar city. The polling started peacefully at 8 am in the morning. However, as the polling progressed, instances of rigging started to take place and kept recurring during the allotted time.

Three people sustained wounds in a firing incident at a polling station in Nasapa while ballot papers were brought outside from a women’s polling station in Bagh Colony.
