Nisar chairs meeting to review security

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday directed authorities to review security measures for the worship places of minorities as well as Ismaili and Shia communities.

He issued the instructions during a meeting also attended by interior secretary, officials of the Federal Investigation Agency and police.

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday directed authorities to review security measures for the worship places of minorities as well as Ismaili and Shia communities.

He issued the instructions during a meeting also attended by interior secretary, officials of the Federal Investigation Agency and police.

He directed the authorities to review security arrangements of the worship places and venues of congregations for minorities and members of Ismaili and Shia communities.

Nisar Ali Khan said Sindh’s Counter Terrorism Department played key role to arrest suspects involved in Safoora incident.

During the meeting, the minister also sought names of two officers of the Karachi police to grant rewards for their role in the operation that led to arrest of the suspects.
