PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday came heavily on Imran Khan and his PTI party for what he said doing nothing for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the last three years.

Addressing party workers in Peshawar he said: "We know exactly how tsunami that rose from Karachi receded in Khyber Pakhutunkhwa".

He said those who bagged votes in the name of ethnicity did nothing for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that there is a government of fake Pakhtoons in the province.

“They should understand that it is government not a cricket match as there is a huge difference between government and captaincy,” he said, taking a dig at former cricket hero and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan.

Asif Ali Zardari said that the PPP had not accepted election results rather "we kept quiet to strengthen democracy".
