LAHORE: Participants of an Islamic conference held under the auspices of Tanzeem Ittehad-e-Ummat (TIU) on Sunday declared suicide attackers as ‘hellbound’.

“The elements involved in sectarian killings are sinners, for they have committed Fasad-fil-Arz,” said a TUI communiqué issued on the heels of a conference organized in the provincial capital.

The conference was attended among others by the head of Jamia Naeemia Dr. Raghib Naeemi, Mufti Mhammad Khan Qadri, Justice (retd) Mian Nazir Akhtar, Sahibzada Raza-e-Mustafa, Mufti Haseeb Qadri and Maulana Mujahidul Rasool.

At the conclusion of the moot, Chairman TIU, Muhammad Ziaul Naqshbandi read out the communiqué.

He said the philosophy of Jihad as promoted by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), al-Qaeda, ISIS and such other so-called Jihadi organizations is based on illiteracy; it is misleading and downright Un-Islamic.

The communiqué announced all-out support for Zarb-e-Azb - the ongoing military crackdown on local and foreign terrorists in the tribal belt of Pakistan.

The TIU also announced to observe a nationwide day of ‘peace and love’ on Friday (May 22).

The organization also made public its plan to launch ‘eliminate terrorism and save the country’ campaign in the coming days.
