KARACHI: A large number of employees of The All Pakistan National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) staged a sit-in outside the authority’s Karachi Head Office to record their protest on Thursday.
The protest was aimed at pushing the authorities to include representatives of All Pakistan NADRA Employees Union (Karachi Region) in the Regional Working Committee that was formed to address the issues being faced by the employees.
Expressing his reservations, Irfan Malik, President of Karachi Region, said the Karachi management of the NADRA has included blue-eyed boys in the committee, neglecting orders of the chairman.
He said such measures would further aggravate the problems. Speaking on the occasion Union’s Vice President Syed Noman Anwar said the employees would not accept any such committee that lacks their representation.
He termed the management’s behavior as sheer injustice. Salman Zubairi, General Secretary of the NADRA Union, condemned the management’s apathy to heed the voice of employees.
