PM Nawaz says Saudi Arabia has given no ‘wish list’

LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday reiterated that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have strong ties and Pakistan has not received any ‘wish list.’

LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday reiterated that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have strong ties and Pakistan has not received any ‘wish list.’

Speaking to the media after arriving in London on a three day visit, the PM said that Pakistan will continue its relationship with the kingdom and any threat to its territorial integrity will evoke action by Pakistan to support Saudi Arabia.

He went on to say that the Yemen crisis must be solved immediately and peacefully, adding that the Saudi leadership is of the same view.

Regarding the visit by the Chinese President to Pakistan, he said that it was an unprecedented and highly successful visit, with immense investment for Pakistan.

The PM further said that there has been an increase in positive developments in Pakistan, adding that Foreign Exchange Reserves have been on the rise as well.

He went on to say that the country’s economic policies are being acclaimed worldwide.

Regarding his current trip to the UK, he said that Pakistan and UK have good friendly relations which will be strengthened further.

Speaking about the result of the by-election of NA-246, the PM said the great margin of defeat is similar to the great margin of victory by the PML-N with regards to the Nankana Sahib constituency during the general elections 2013.
