KARACHI: As the polling date for by-election at National Assembly constituency NA-246 nears, atmosphere in the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s stronghold seems to be getting hostile for contesting political parties.

On Friday, The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and MQM workers were seen fighting after being engaged in heated arguments.

TV footage showed political activists from both sides grabbing collars of whom they could lay their hands on during the scuffle.

According to a report, intense sloganeering led to a full blown quarrel between both the parties that seem on loggerheads for quite some time.

The by-election in the Azizabad constituency is scheduled for April 23.
