KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday expressed reservations over printing of ballot papers in connection with the by-polls in NA-246 constituency.

Addressing a press conference, Dr Alvi, flanked by President PTI Karachi chapter Ali Zaidi and leader Samar Ali Khan, demanded the government to step up the security of the printing press.

He claimed that 80 percent of the staff of the printing press has links with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

The PTI leaders said they are still in contact with the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for reaching an understanding over NA-246 by election scheduled for April 23.

They made it clear that PTI will not withdraw its candidate in any party’s favour.
