53 weapons seized from MQM office not licensed: Rangers

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers has declared 53 out of 124 weapons, recovered from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) office on March 11, unlicensed.

According to Rangers Spokesman 124 weapons were seized from MQM office in Azizabad on March 11. Licences of 107 were submitted.

The spokesman said licences of 71 weapons were verified, however, 36 could not be verified and licences of 17 weapons

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers has declared 53 out of 124 weapons, recovered from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) office on March 11, unlicensed.

According to Rangers Spokesman 124 weapons were seized from MQM office in Azizabad on March 11. Licences of 107 were submitted.

The spokesman said licences of 71 weapons were verified, however, 36 could not be verified and licences of 17 weapons were not received thus far.

The weapons, ammunition and explosives found at the MQM headquarters included four 9mm pistols, 19 .7mm rifles, 22 repeaters, 22 rifles, two light machine guns, one Kalashnikov, 26 Awan bombs, 18 sub-machine guns, two .223 rifles, 14 30-bore pistols, four 8mm rifles, a 4-M rifle, 13 G-22 rifles, two .222 rifles and 11 GSG-5 rifles.
