ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a petition seeking to strop drone attacks being carried out in Pakistan.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Saqib Nisar heard the petition filed by Syed Muhammad Iqtidar. The petition maintained that the tribal areas are part of Pakistan and if there are drone attacks being carried out there today, tomorrow attacks can take place in major cities.

Justice Nisar remarked that the court could not issue a war order to stop the drone attacks, adding that the petition did not fall under the jurisdiction of Article 184-3.
