KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi on Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has adopted a practice of provocation which is highly condemnable.

Responding to PTI leader Faisal Vawda and Imran Ismail’s statements made earlier from their Karimabad election camp, Rizvi said that the MQM is fully capable of countering the allegations made by PTI, however, “we choose not to respond.”

The MQM leader went on to say that Faisal Vawda can be compared to a ‘flu-stricken frog in the rain’.

He further said that MQM is seriously considering filing defamation charges against PTI regarding the accusations hurled at MQM chief Altaf Hussain by Vawda.

Rizvi said PTI candidates will forfeit on April 23, adding that PTI is giving a false impression as if it will be a tough competition and there is no presence of MQM for miles.

He went on to say that the Sindh government should provide voters as well to PTI, besides just providing them security.

He also questioned the audacity of PTI to return to Parliament, adding that they should explain themselves to the public.

The MQM leader also said that the people of NA-246 constituency are being provoked unnecessarily and they should just remain calm.

MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari added that inhabitants of NA-246 not only vote for MQM but have given their lives for the party.

He went on to say that if someone comes to the constituency and hurls abuses at the MQM, then it should be the responsibility of the Election Commission to take notice.

Furthermore, Sabzwari in response to Faisal Vawda, said that today the bank defaulter who has demanded to seize the house of Altaf Hussain, is the same person who used to say a year ago that Altaf is a great leader.
