Hajj applications to be received from April 15

ISLAMABAD: The applications under the Hajj government scheme will be received from April 15 to 23 and names of successful aspirants will be announced after balloting, sources said on Friday.

This was disclosed at a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony held in Islamabad today with Abdul Kareem in the chair.

ISLAMABAD: The applications under the Hajj government scheme will be received from April 15 to 23 and names of successful aspirants will be announced after balloting, sources said on Friday.

This was disclosed at a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony held in Islamabad today with Abdul Kareem in the chair.

Officials of the Ministry briefed the meeting about the Hajj Policy 2015.

According to the new Hajj Policy, 50 percent quota will be allocated each to the government and private tour operators.

Half of the pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia under the Government Scheme will directly go to Madina.

Those who performed hajj during the past five years are not eligible to perform pilgrimage this year.

Similarly, no one will be allowed to perform Hajj on the government's expense.
