Four FATA Senators elected as polling ends

PESHAWAR: Unofficial results for the Senate’s four seats allocated for the country’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) have been announced on Friday.

According to the results, Momin Khan, Taj Muhammad, Aurangzeb Khan and Sajjad Toori were elected as new members of the upper house of the parliament.

PESHAWAR: Unofficial results for the Senate’s four seats allocated for the country’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) have been announced on Friday.

According to the results, Momin Khan, Taj Muhammad, Aurangzeb Khan and Sajjad Toori were elected as new members of the upper house of the parliament.

Total 11 lawmakers belonging to the tribal areas cast their ballots in the polling that started at 9am and continued till 4pm.

Momin Khan and Sajjad Toori begged six votes each, while Taj Muhammad and Aurangzeb Khan secured seven votes each in the Senate election for FATA which was postponed on March 5.
