ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry on Thursday said that death row convict Saulat Mirza expressed his wish to record statement before his sister Sumera Wajahat when she had come to visit him in prison three days ago.

The Interior Ministry sources said, the family of Saulat Mirza informed the high officials about his wish after meeting him in prison.

The sources further said that Saulat Mirza had decided to record the statement after the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain denied any kind of link with him while talking in Geo News program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath’.
