ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Thursday revealed that the Sindh Rangers had taken Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah into confidence before raiding the headquarters of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Talking exclusively to Geo News, the Interior Minister wondered what the proclaimed offenders were doing at MQM headquarters and its vicinity. He added the operation of Rangers was against the outlaws.

Chaudhry Nisar praised Rangers for taking action against the criminal elements, regretting no other government had appreciated the work of the Rangers.

The Rangers had seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from MQM Headquarters in Wednesday’s raid and arrested what they described as hardened criminals.

Meanwhile, MQM leader Farooq Sattar, while talking in Geo News programme, ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, has denied Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s statement.

Farooq Sattar disclosed that in the meeting, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had said that he was not taken into confidence before Rangers raid at the headquarters of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
