PTI MNAs should withdraw resignations: Siraj

PESHAWAR Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief and newly elected Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has called upon Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs to withdraw their resignations and on the government to form a judicial commission to probe allegations of rigging in the 2013 general elections.

Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Siraj-ul-Haq said politics of money had been buried in the Senate elections. "Efforts of those with money were not successful during the Senate elections."

Haq added that he would represent the oppressed during his tenure as a Senator.

The JI chief demanded that the government ensure that Rs 375 billion of electricity net profit was provided to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as it was the right of the province. “We are not asking for charity he said.”
